In steel plants, ceramic fiber blanket (also known as aluminum silicate fiber blanket) is one of the core materials for fire and insulation of pipelines. In the process of steel smelting, a large amount of high-temperature gases and liquids are transported through pipelines. Ceramic fiber blankets are mainly used in the following areas:
  • 1. Blast furnace hot air duct: capable of withstanding hot air temperatures of 300 ℃ -600 ℃ or even higher, preventing heat loss and protecting external steel structures.
  • 2. Converter/electric furnace flue gas pipeline: To cope with instantaneous high temperature impact (up to 1000 ℃ or above), prevent pipeline deformation and fire spread.
