What is aluminum silicate needle punched blanket? Aluminum silicate needle punched blanket is a high-performance insulation material mainly made of aluminum silicate fibers, which has the characteristics of high temperature resistance, low thermal conductivity, and strong seismic resistance. It is widely used in industrial high-temperature equipment and construction fields. 
                                                                                                   
The core material of aluminum silicate needle punched blanket is aluminum silicate fiber (Al ₂ SiO ₅), which is made of high-purity alumina and silica melted at high temperature and spun into fibers. The fiber diameter is usually 3-5 microns and the length is 50-200 millimeters. The fibers are interwoven in three dimensions through needle punching technology to form a stable mesh structure. This process does not require adhesives, avoiding performance degradation caused by organic matter volatilization at high temperatures. According to different operating temperatures, it can be divided into three categories: standard type (1050 ℃), high-purity type (1100 ℃), and high aluminum type (1260 ℃).


Production process of aluminum silicate needle punched blanket

The production process includes: raw material melting → centrifugal blowing into fibers → fiber combing and mesh laying → needle punching reinforcement → high temperature heat treatment. The needling process is crucial, as thousands of needles repeatedly pierce the fiber layer to form a three-dimensional mesh structure, thereby enhancing the tensile strength (up to 80-120 kPa).
