When the gentle breeze of autumn brushes across the land of China, and the bright five-star red flag rises slowly in the streets and alleys, we know that the annual National Day has arrived as scheduled. This festival, which carries the common memories and emotions of countless Chinese people, is not only a moment of national celebration, but also an important carrier for looking back on history, paying tribute to struggle, and gathering strength.

Tracing the origin of National Day, we cannot do without the day in 1949 that was destined to be recorded in history. On October 1st, Chairman Mao Zedong solemnly declared on the Tiananmen Gate Tower that "the Central People's Government of the People's Republic of China is established today." From then on, China ended its century long humiliating history of being invaded and enslaved, and opened a new era of independence, self-reliance, and progress towards prosperity and strength. On December 2, 1949, the Central People's Government officially decided to designate October 1 of each year as the National Day of the People's Republic of China. On this day, it is not only a commemoration of the birth of a country, but also a starting point for peace that countless revolutionary martyrs have exchanged with their blood and lives. Every flying national flag is engraved with the heroic epic of "For those who have sacrificed so much, daring to teach the sun and moon to change the sky".

Nowadays, National Day has become a statutory holiday shared by the whole nation. According to relevant regulations, the National Day holiday is usually 7 days (including compensatory time off). This arrangement not only provides an opportunity for busy people to relax and unwind, but also gives everyone a time window to step into the mountains and rivers of our motherland and experience the changes of the times. The deep meaning behind the holiday goes far beyond leisure and entertainment - it is a concentrated reflection on the achievements of national development, from the stunning breakthroughs of the "Two Bombs and One Satellite" to the interstellar exploration of "Chang'e", from the comprehensive victory of poverty alleviation to the vigorous promotion of rural revitalization. After more than 70 years of trials and tribulations, every step taken by our country is worth remembering; It is also a profound awakening of patriotism, allowing us to more clearly feel the close connection between "individuals and the country breathing the same breath and sharing the same destiny" in the process of reuniting with our families and celebrating with our compatriots.

In this special festival, the Chinese way of celebrating has evolved into a diverse and colorful picture of life. In front of Tiananmen Square, tourists from all over the country gather early to witness the solemn moment of the flag raising ceremony. When the national anthem is played and the national flag is raised, the tears in the eyes of countless people are the most sincere confession to the motherland; The streets of major cities are decorated with red lanterns and five-star red flags, creating a strong festive atmosphere. The "National Day Theme Exhibition" in business districts and the "Neighborhood Gala" in communities allow joy to spread between people; Many families choose to go out of their homes, or go to famous mountains and rivers to feel the magnificent mountains and rivers of the motherland between the sea of clouds in Mount Huangshan Mountain and the mountains and rivers in Guilin, or go into the old revolutionary base areas and museums to listen to red stories in historical sites, so that patriotism can be passed on in walking; Some people choose to "stay at home and celebrate National Day" by watching documentaries on the National Day parade and main theme movies, feeling the strength of the country in the light and shadow, and sharing the happiness of life with their families with a meal full of hometown flavor.

From 1949 to 2024, National Day has gone through 75 years of spring and autumn. It is not only a holiday symbol, but also like a mirror, reflecting the growth and changes of the motherland, as well as the aspirations of every Chinese person for a better life. When we enjoy joy and feel happiness during this holiday, please remember: this peace and beauty stem from the strength of our motherland; And the future of our motherland requires each and every one of us to guard and create with dedication. On this day of national celebration, let us make blessings for our motherland and make our own oath of struggle - may we use our youth to protect our prosperous China!
